Step-by-step configuration
Prerequisites: In order to make use of Optimization Folders you must first have at least two campaigns running so as to be able to run the optimizations.
CREATING THE FOLDER
Click on the "Advertising" tab in the top menu.
Scroll down the page until you find the section labeled "Optimization Folders.”
Click on “+Add new Folder”.
Provide a descriptive name for the folder in the designated field. Optionally, upload an image to visually distinguish the folder.
FILLING YOUR FOLDER WITH CAMPAIGNS
If you go into your folder right now, you’ll see no information within it. So to continue go back to the Advertising tab.
Scroll down the page until you find the section labeled "Recent Ads.”
For each ad campaign you want to add, find the circle shaped selector located on the top right of its respective card. Click on the selector to toggle it; it should turn blue and display a checkmark.
Once you've selected all desired campaigns, click on the "Move to Folder" option situated at the top right corner of the "Recent Ads" section.
A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to choose the destination folder for the selected campaigns.
To turn on optimizations, click on the folder and toggle the “Turn on Optimization” option on the top right of the page.
ANALYZING THE DISPLAYED DATA
Now to check the status of the optimizations, head into the folder.
Click on the folder you created.
A timeline will display the evolving optimization process.
Beneath the timeline, you'll find a chart showcasing each campaign's performance relative to the benchmark, along with the optimizations implemented and KPIs.
Finally, at the bottom of the page you’ll find the campaigns included. To remove any just click on the same selector on the top right of its card and click on “Remove from Folder”
FAQs
How much should I wait until I see the optimizations? It will usually take three days to analyze and start optimizing the campaigns, after that it will review and optimize every two days. After 15 days you should have enough information to decide if you wish to pause a campaign, increase the budget of another or to run another test.
How many campaigns can I include? There’s no limit! It’s always better to have clarity as to what you’re testing, but you can include as many as you wish.
Can I use the folders to group campaigns without optimizing them? Yes! You can simply use the folders to group campaigns and easily compare their main KPIs.
